TOPICS OF INTEREST

  • Archaeological Database. Rep. Ito introduced a measure, enacted into law as Act 161, Session Laws of Hawaii (SLH) 2008, that expands the use of Hawaii's archaeological information by establishing an archaeological data survey database as a program of the State of Hawaii Museum of Natural and Cultural History (Museum), accessible to the public through the internet.

  • Castle Medical Center. Rep. Ito helped introduce a measure, enacted into law as Act 75, SLH 2008, that authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue bonds in a total amount not to exceed $30,000,000 to assist Castle Medical Center in financing and refinancing equipment purchases, and the construction and improvement of health care facilities in the state.

  • Small Business Bill of Rights. Rep. Ito introduced a measure, enacted into law as Act 230, SLH 2008, that reduces regulatory burdens on small business by establishing a Small Business Bill of Rights.
