TOPICS OF CONCERN
- Recreational Leases. Rep. Sagum introduced a bill, enacted into law as Act 223, Session Laws of Hawaii (SLH) 2008, that establishes a one-time process for the leasing of public lands for recreation-residence use leases in locations at state parks or state forest reserves in counties with a population of 100,000 or less.
- Kokee State Park. Rep. Sagum introduced a bill, enacted into law as Act 161, SLH 2008, that establishes an archaeological data survey as an online database program under the State of Hawaii Museum of Natural and Cultural History.
- Hanapepe Salt Ponds. Rep. Sagum introduced a resolution to request the Department of Land and Natural Resources, Land Division to assemble various state, county, and community agencies, rights holders, and stakeholders to conduct meetings to develop a comprehensive Hanapepe Salt Ponds Resource Management Plan (Management Plan).
