House Republicans Dedicated to Cutting Taxes

The House Republican Caucus has strongly voiced its commitment to fight for lower taxes and tax rebates for Hawaii citizens. Among the tax relief measures House Republicans will push this session are a standard deduction increase and elimination of the general excise tax on food purchases. The Caucus also plans to again introduce a long-term care tax credit. In light of the $570 million surplus projected in the State budget, it is essential that Hawaii's taxpayers be given a much needed and long overdue tax break.
