Sir:

     Your Committee on Education and Technology, to which was
referred H.C.R. No. 18, H.D. 1, entitled: 

     "HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION URGING THE BOARD OF EDUCATION
     TO EXPAND FAMILY AND PARENTING CLASSES TRAINING AND GUIDANCE
     FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS,"

begs leave to report as follows:

     The purpose of this measure is to urge the Board of
Education to expand family and parenting classes, training, and
guidance for high school students.

     Testimony in support of this measure was received from the
Board of Education.

     Your Committee finds that the State should encourage the
development of interpersonal family and parenting skills among
the State's high school students.

     As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your
Committee on Education and Technology that is attached to this
report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose
of H.C.R. No. 18, H.D. 1, and recommends its adoption.
