           Makes a third offense of sexual assault in the 4th
           degree a class C felony and requires mandatory sex
           offender assessment and/or treatment and a
           mandatory minimum prison sentence. (SD1)

SB 1159 SD1   RELATING TO CRIME VICTIM                JHA/PSM,FIN
           COMPENSATION
           Repeals 30 percent cap on administrative expenses;
           sunsets the repeal on July 1, 1999. (SD1)

SB 1163 SD1   RELATING TO THE RELEASE OF PRE-TRIAL    PSM/JHA,FIN
           INMATES
           Extends authority of director of public safety to
           grant emergency  release of pre-trial inmates until

SB 365 SD1    RELATING TO CONSUMER            PENDING RE-REFERRAL
           PROTECTION
           Prohibits sale of laser pointing devices to minors
           and possession of laser pointing devices by minors;
           prohibits the sale of laser pointing devices
           without providing buyer with printed warning
           regarding dangers of improper usage; prohibits
           adults from using laser pointing devices to harass
           or alarm other persons or animals; specifies
           penalties. (SD1)

HB 1010       RELATING TO ANTITRUST                       JHA,FIN
           Clarifies the types of damages that maybe recovered
           in antitrust actions initiated by the Attorney
           General.

           COMPENSATION OF CRIME VICTIMS
           Appropriates $         to compensate persons and
           their service providers who will be awarded
           compensation during the period from July 1, 1999 to
           June 30, 2000.  (SD1)

SB 1379 SD2   RELATING TO CRIMINAL ASSAULTS AND               JHA
           RELATED OFFENSES
           Creates class C felony offense of assault against
           police officer while in the performance of duty.

SB 630 SD1    RELATING TO CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS              JHA
           Adds to campaign spending law, new section
           regarding reports for late contributions. (SD 1)
