SB 1284SD2 MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR COLLECTIVE BARGAINING COST
        ITEMS                                          LAB,FIN
        Appropriates and authorizes funds to pay the cost of 
        items negotiated in collective bargaining agreements 
        with the representatives of units 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 
        10, and 13, and for state officers and employees who 
        are excluded from these units. (SD2)

SB 1470    RELATING TO STATE OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES EXCLUDED FROM 
        COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AND MAKING APPROPRIATIONS AND       
        OTHER ADJUSTMENTS                              LAB,FIN
        Appropriates funds to track legislative staff salaries           
        to bargaining units 3, 4, and 13 collective bargaining 
        cost adjustments.

SB 366SD1  RELATING TO THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES HEALTH FUND   LAB,FIN
        Enables the Employer-Union Trust Concept Committee to           
        continue its work to proceed with conversion to an            
        employer-union trust concept for administering public            
        employee and retiree health benefits.  Specifies 5            
        members to represent state and county employers and  5            
        members requesting employee organization.






 
SB 1102SD1 RELATING TO THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES HEALTH FUND   LAB,FIN
        Removes the responsibility for funding the annual           
        audit of the fund from the state comptroller and makes            
        it the responsibility of the health fund. (SD1)

SB 1137    RELATING TO THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES HEALTH FUND   LAB,FIN
        Extends health insurance coverage to unmarried           
        dependent children of state and county employee-           
        beneficiaries who are full-time students up to age 24.

SB 1288SD1 RELATING TO THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES HEALTH FUND   LAB,FIN
        Enables the Health Fund's Board of Trustees to           
        contract for more than one type of benefit plan for            
        medical, drug, vision, and dental benefits.  (SD1)

SB 1290SD1 RELATING TO HEALTH BENEFITS FOR PART-TIME, TEMPORARY,           
        AND SEASONAL OR CASUAL EMPLOYEES               LAB,FIN
        Offers medical benefits to part-time, temporary, and 
        seasonal or casual employees at no cost to the
        employer. 

SB 1294SD1 RELATING TO THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES HEALTH FUND   LAB,FIN
        Requires state and county retired employees and their           
        spouses to enroll in the federal Medicare Part B            
        insurance program.  (SD1)

SB 1300SD1 MAKING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION TO PAY THE SHARE  OF           
        HEALTH INSURANCE CARRIER REFUND AND RATE CREDIT            
        AMOUNTS DUE TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT          LAB,FIN
        Appropriates $ in emerging funds for FY 1998-1999 as           
        federal share of health insurance carrier refunds and            
        rate credits.

SB 211SD1  RELATING TO THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM   LAB,FIN
        Extends repeal date of pensioners' and retirants'           
        bonuses from 6/30/99 to 6/30/2001.  (SD1)

SB 1281SD2 RELATING TO THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM   LAB,FIN
        Enables ERS to hire an assistant administrator and a           
        chief investment officer.  (SD2)

SB 1314SD2 RELATING TO RETIREMENT BENEFITS FOR TRUSTEES OF THE
        OFFICE OF HAWAIIAN AFFAIR                  LAB,JHA,FIN
        Provides retirement benefits for the trustees of the 
        office of Hawaiian affairs from July 1, 1999.  (SD2)

SB 1544SD2 RELATING TO THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM   LAB,FIN
        Allows Deputy Sheriffs to retire without penalty after 
        25 years of service in that capacity.  (SD2)


 
 
 
SB 1282SD2 RELATING TO INVESTMENTS OF THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT

        Enables the ERS to invest in LLCs.  (SD2)
