SB 1250    RELATING TO SCHOOL BUSES                   TRN/EDN,FIN
SD 1       Permits the use of tour buses for the transportation
        of students, other than school athletes, to and from
        school-related events and activities.

TRN ONLY:

SB 1430    RELATING TO JUVENILE SAFETY                    TRN,JHA
SD 2       Requires minors under the age of 12 to wear a helmet
        while operating a wheeled apparatus on public
        property.

SB 663     RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION         TRN,FIN
SD 1       Extends the time period for new motor vehicle
        registration.

SB 664     RELATING TO SPECIAL NUMBER PLATES              TRN,FIN
SD 1       Allows the director of finance to discard and allow
        for new applications of inactive special number plates
        that have not been assigned or registered during the
        preceding 3 years, including special number plates for
        antique motor vehicles.

 
 
 
SB 1534    RELATING TO LICENSE PLATES                     TRN,FIN
SD 1       Allows the issuance of special license plates to those
        civilians who provided service to the United States,
        on Oahu, or offshore at a distance of not more than
        three miles at the time of the December 7, 1941 attack
        on Pearl Harbor.

SB 709     RELATING TO TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT                TRN,FIN
SD 1       Amends the photo red light imaging and photo speed
        imaging detector demonstration project by including
        other photo technology systems to improve traffic
        enforcement and reduce traffic congestion by producing
        photographic identification of a vehicle which crosses
        longitudinal traffic lane markings.

SB 1403    RELATING TO THE TRAFFIC CODE                   TRN,JHA
        Allows transportation departments of the state and
        counties to use highway markings or curb markings to
        indicate parking prohibitions.

SB 700     RELATING TO LOW-SPEED VEHICLES                 TRN,JHA
SD 2       Regulates neighborhood electric vehicles, which are
        designed to operate at speeds of 25 miles per hour or
        less.  Requires these vehicles to display slow moving
        vehicle emblems.

SB 984     RELATING TO GENERAL CASUALTY INSURANCE         TRN,CPC
SD 1       Permits certain contracts of warranty or guaranty to
        include coverage for towing and substitute
        transportation.

(NEIGHBOR ISLANDS).  WHEN FAXING, PLEASE INDICATE TO WHOM THE

AND THE REQUIRED NO. OF COPIES THAT IS NEEDED FOR SUBMITTAL.
