HB 706     RELATING TO HOMESTEAD LEASES                      WLH, WAM
HD 2       Suspends  the  succession  provision  of  homestead
           leases under mortgage for the duration of the loan.

HB 1675    RELATING TO HAWAIIAN HOME LANDS TRUST INDIVIDUAL   WLH, WAM
HD 1       CLAIMS
           Extends the  time  to  process  individual Hawaiian
           home lands trust claims.

HB 423     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO MATCH FEDERAL FUNDS    WLH, WAM
HD 1       FOR THE HAWAII FORESTRY AND COMMUNITIES INITIATIVE
           Appropriates $1 for Hawaii forestry and communities
           initiative.

HB 1172    RELATING TO THE BUREAU OF CONVEYANCES             WLH, WAM
HD 2       Authorizes the deposit  of  a  portion of recording
           and  other  collected  fees   into  the  Bureau  of
           Conveyances Special Fund and establishes the Bureau
           of Conveyances Special Fund.

HB 1653    MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE ALA WAI CANAL     WLH, WAM
HD 2       WATERSHED
           Appropriates funds to implement capital improvement
           projects in the Ala Wai canal watershed.

HB 718     RELATING TO THE HAWAII COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT      WLH, WAM
HD 1       AUTHORITY

 
 
           Authorizes   the   Hawaii   community   development
           authority   to   issue    bonds   not   to   exceed
           $250,000,000.

HB 582     RELATING TO LANDOWNER LIABILITY                   WLH, JDC
HD 2       Amends the definition of  land  in section 520-2 to
           include  unimproved   government-owned   trails  or
           access.


        DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW, IF TIME PERMITS.

Persons wishing  to  testify  should  submit  25  copies of their
testimony to the  committee  clerk,  Room  218, State Capitol, 24
hours prior to the hearing.  Testimony  may also be faxed if less
than 5 pages in length,  to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at
586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll  free  for neighbor islands), at
least 24  hours  prior  to  the  hearing.    When  faxing, please
indicate to whom the testimony  is  being submitted, the date and
time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for
submittal.

If you require special  assistance  or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility,  or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the  committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.

measures and testimonies for  the  hearing  will be available for
shared use by members of the public.
