SB 2317       RELATING TO BOARDS OF WATER SUPPLY           TIA/LRE,WAM
           Provides  power  to  boards   of  water  supply  in
           counties with a population  of more than 500,000 to
           restructure  and  reorganize   for  more  efficient
           service. (Kawamoto)

(Please note:  The Committee on Transportation and Intergovernmental
Affairs will hold its decision making on this measure on Thursday,
February 17, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. in conference room 212.)


SB 3121       RELATING TO ALTERNATE FUELED VEHICLES        TIA/LRE,WAM
           Requires  the   DOT   to   adopt   rules   for  the
           registration of  alternate  fueled  vehicles, which
           shall be exempt  from  paying  of  state and county
           parking fees and  from  HOV  lane and other traffic
           control measures. (Nakata)

S.B. 2343     RELATING TO THE HAWAII HEALTH SYSTEMS           LRE, WAM
           Exempts the Hawaii  health systems corporation from
           certain  civil  service  requirements  for  5 years
           until 6/30/2005.

S.B. 2605     RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT SECURITY LAW             LRE, WAM
           Exempts from the  unemployment insurance law owners
           of businesses holding  at  least  a 50% interest in
           their company.

S.B. 2310     RELATING TO LABOR                               LRE, WAM
           Ensures that employees who  are unemployed due to a
           labor  dispute  shall   not   be  disqualified  for
           unemployment benefits if  the  parties have reached
           an impasse and prior to a work stoppage an offer is
           made to submit the dispute to binding arbitration.
