SB 2651    RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII      EDU/LRE, WAM
        Creates a separate budget preparation and submission
        process for the University of Hawaii.  Recognizes the
        University of Hawaii as a state agency apart from the
        executive branch.  Removes University of Hawaii
        employees from the state civil service system. (D.
        Ige;  Sakamoto)

SB 3141    RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII      EDU/LRE, WAM
        Provides complete autonomy to the University of
        Hawaii, by making its status comparable to that of the
        judiciary.  Makes all employees subject to the
        University's personnel system, and removes all
        university employees from civil service.  Eliminates
        director of finance and governor from the University
        budgetary process.  (D. Ige, Chumbley, Fukunaga,

SB 2964    RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII      EDU/LRE, WAM
        Enables the University to develop a classification
        system which appropriately recognizes the scope and
        subject matter of work, and the scope and degree of

 
        responsibility and the required minimum

SB 2622    RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII          EDU, WAM
        Clarifies that administrative expenses of the
        University are costs incurred in support of the users
        of special and revolving funded programs of the
        University.  (Mizuguchi, BR)

SB 2383    RELATING TO UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII REGENTS      EDU, WAM
        Extends board of regent members' term to 12 years.
        Allows members to be reappointed once.  Requires the
        governor to consult the evaluation commission when
        appointing new members.  Compensates members $25,000 a
        year.  (Hanabusa, BR)

SB 2397    RELATING TO UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII REGENTS      EDU, WAM
        Provides for selection of regent members from
        submittals by a special panel.  Establishes one 10-
        year term for regent members.  Allows $25,000 per year
        compensation for each of the regent members.  (Tam,
        Bunda, Slom)

SB 2573    RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII          EDU, WAM
        Changes general fund formula for the University of
        Hawaii from a percentage of tuition revenues to 12% of
        all general fund appropriations under the executive

SB 2572    RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII
        FACILITIES USE REVOLVING FUND                 EDU, WAM
        Authorizes real property revenues of the University of
        Hawaii to be deposited into a university revolving

SB 2574    RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII          EDU, WAM
        Authorizes the University of Hawaii community colleges
        to deposit their special fund revenues into system
        special funds.  (D. Ige, Sakamoto)

SB 2575    RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII 
        FACILITIES IMPROVEMENTS SPECIAL FUND          EDU, WAM

 
 
 
 
 
        Earmarks a portion of the general excise tax revenues
        for University of Hawaii facilities improvement.  (D.

SB 2796    RELATING TO THE COLLEGE SAVINGS PROGRAM       EDU, WAM
        Makes technical amendments to provisions which
        established the college savings program.  (Mizuguchi,
        BR)
