SB 2062 SD1 HD2    RELATING TO LONG-TERM CARE.
HSCR 998-00        Extends the sunset date of the Joint Legislative Committee on
                Long-term Care Financing from June 30, 2000, to June 30, 2002.
                Extends the actuarial study on long-term care from November 15,
                1999, to November 15, 2001.  Clarifies requirements for the
                actuarial study.  Appropriates $200,000 for the actuarial study.

SB 2490 SD2 HD1    RELATING TO LONG-TERM RESIDENTIAL CARE.
HSCR 930-00        Establishes a long-term care information and referral process.
                Makes an appropriation to DOH to implement statewide initial
                information and referral screening.  Requires the Joint
                Legislative Committee on Long-term Care Subcommittee on
                Residential Care to report on a study for adult residential care
                facilities. (HSH/HLT,FIN)

SB 2493 SD2 HD1    MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT SERVICES.
HSCR 931-00        Appropriates funds to DOH for specialized substance abuse
                treatment services for pregnant women and families involved with
                child protective services who have children under five years of
                age and for teenagers, provided that funds are matched by private
                or federal sources. (HSH/HLT,FIN)

SB 2598 SD2 HD1    RELATING TO HOUSING.
HSCR 888-00        Authorizes the issuance of general obligation bonds to the rental
                housing trust fund to encourage the development and availability
                of low-income rental housing throughout the State. (HSH,FIN)

SB 2579 SD1 HD1    RELATING TO HOUSING.
HSCR 1025-00       Creates the special needs housing special fund to be used to
                provide supportive housing for persons with mental illness and
                substance abuse addictions.  Authorizes $5,000,000 in general
                obligation bonds, provided the private sector provides a 20%
                match. (HSH/HLT,FIN)

SB 2576 SD2 HD1    RELATING TO STATE OWNED PUBLIC HOUSING.
HSCR 897-00        Establishes a resident advisory board to advise HCDCH on public
                housing.  Allows a person who resides in federal low-rent public
                housing or tenant-based section 8 housing assisted by the
                corporation to serve on the HCDCH Board.  Allows a person who
                resides in state low rent public housing assisted by HCDCH to
                serve on the HCDCH Board. (HSH,FIN)

SB 2021 SD2 HD1    RELATING TO HOUSING.
HSCR 1010-00       Provides further protection to residents of housing assisted by
                HUD who are at risk of losing their project-based housing
                subsidies.  Maintains the inventory of affordable housing units in
                the state. (HSH,FIN)
