HB 2429  RELATING TO THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY           HSH, FIN
      DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF HAWAII
      Proposes amendments to the State Rent
      Supplement Program to allow more persons
      who earn 50% or less of the median family
      income to participate in the program, and
      increase the rent contribution of each
      tenant from 20% to 30% of the tenant's
      annual income.  (Say, B/R)

HB 2431  RELATING TO THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY           HSH, FIN
      DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF HAWAII
      Establishes resident advisory boards in
      federal public housing projects.  (Say, B/R)

HB 2432  RELATING TO LOW-INCOME HOUSING CREDIT           HSH, FIN
      Allows a partnership, a limited liability
      company, and S corporation invetors to claim
      the state low-income housing credit whether or
      not they claim the federal low-income housing
      tax credit.  (Say, B/R)

HB 2848  RELATING TO HOUSING                             HSH, FIN
      Encourages construction of low-income housing
      by requiring the housing and community develop-
      ment corporation of Hawaii (HCDCH) to adopt a
      qualified allocation plan meeting Internal Revenue
      Code (IRC) requirements.  Requires HCDCH to 
      cooperate with the military to address the housing 
      needs of military personnel and their dependents.
      Requires HCDCH to give priority to the use of bonds

 
      for financing of low-income housing eligibile for 
      the federal tax credit under section 42 of the IRC.

HB 2935  RELATING TO LODGING OR TENEMENT         HSH, JHA, FIN
     HOUSES, HOTELS AND BOARDINGHOUSES
      Eliminates issue of a county business
      license to operate lodging or tenement
      houses, hotels, and boardinghouses and
      repeals the $10 annual license fee.

HB 2965  RELATING TO HOUSING                            HSH, CPC
      Prohibits landlords from preventing persons
      62 years old and over and disabled persons
      from owning an animal in a condominium,
      cooperative, and planned unit development with
      6 or more units privately owned or rented if 
      rented or purchased by a senior citizen or
      disabled person.  (Auwae)

      Effectuates purpose of title (short form)


                 DECISION-MAKING TO FOLLOW

Committee's Vice Chair in Room 328, State Capitol; or (2) the
House Sgt-at-Arms personnel in the turnaround area of the Capitol

Islands).  When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is
being submitted, the date and time of the hearing and the
required number of copies needed for submittal.

the public hearing process of the State House (i.e., sign
language interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking
