The Chairs reserve the right to impose time limits on oral
testimony.

Testimony for the following two bills will be taken together:

SB 2149    RELATING TO ELECTIONS                     JDC/TIA, WAM
        Establishes a pilot program for the city and county of
        Honolulu council elections of 2002 providing for
        matching public funding for candidates who voluntarily
        abide by specified contribution and expenditure
        limits.

SB 2148    RELATING TO ELECTIONS                     JDC/TIA, WAM
        Establishes a pilot program for the city and county of
        Honolulu council elections of 2002 providing for
        matching public funding for candidates who voluntarily
        abide by specified contribution and expenditure
        limits.

TIA/JDC

SB 2314    RELATING TO INTOXICATING LIQUOR           TIA/JDC, WAM
        Suspends driver's license of minors under 18 for 6
        months, requires community service and attendance at
        alcohol education program for violating intoxicating
        liquor law involving minors.  Provides similar
        penalties for violators aged 18 to 21.  Suspends

 
        license for 1 year for repeat offense.  Appropriates
        $50,000 for alcohol and drug education programs.

SB 2952    RELATING TO TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT           TIA/JDC, WAM
        Authorizes a two-year extension of the traffic
        enforcement demonstration project.

their testimony to the committee clerk, Room 227, State Capitol,
24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if
less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms

islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing,
please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the
date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies
needed for submittal.

to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
