A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

RELATING TO FISHING.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Chapter 188, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

"§188-    Fishing in Hanamaulu Bay; restricted. (a) It is unlawful for any person to take marine life by means of any net, except for a hand net to land fish already caught by hook and line, within that portion of Hanamaulu bay bounded by the breakwater and a seaward boundary delineated by a straight line drawn from the northernmost tip of the breakwater to the westernmost tip of Hanamaulu point."

SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval, and shall be repealed on June 30, 2003.
