A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the thirtieth representative district.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2002-2003:

1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

A. Kaiulani elementary school, Oahu

Construction to replace classroom light fixtures in buildings B, C, and E.

Construction $204,000

Total funding $204,000

B. Kaiulani elementary school, Oahu

Air conditioning split system for office and nineteen classrooms.

Air conditioning $325,000

Total funding $325,000

C. Kalihi Kai elementary school, Oahu

Design, construction, and equipment to upgrade the electrical system.

Design $ 1,000

Construction 1,000

Equipment 198,000

Total funding $200,000

D. Kalihi Kai elementary school, Oahu

Re-roofing of buildings C, H, and J.

Re-roofing $300,000

E. Kalihi kai elementary school, Oahu

Re-surfacing of the walkway between buildings G, H, I, and J.

F. Kalakaua middle school, Oahu

Construction and equipment to replace metal doors in building J.

B. Puuhale street, Oahu

Plans, design, construction, and equipment for the Puuhale street storm drainage system from the vicinity of King street to Nimitz highway and into the main drainage connector system.

Total funding $3,500,000

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of the Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2002.
