RELATING TO THE HAWAII AGRICULTURAL LAND PRESERVATION ACT. Allows owners of agricultural lands, subject to approval of chairperson of BOA and County Council, to place lands in agricultural preservation districts. Also, provides criteria for eligibility. Restricts lands in district to agricultural uses. Exempts agricultural products produced in districts from GET, and exempts lands from property tax. RELATING TO AGRICULTURAL LEASES. Allows a qualified tenant whose agricultural lease is nearing expiration to petition the DLNR to place an advertisement to determine whether other persons are interested in bidding for a lease on the land.
