SB 1134

RELATING TO COURT COSTS.

Establishes new court administrative costs associated with the processing of certain civil filings, which are to be deposited into the judiciary computer system special fund.

RELATING TO COURT FEES.

Provides that certain district court fees for administrative costs are deposited into the judiciary computer system special fund.

RELATING TO INTERMEDIATE SANCTIONS.

Appropriates general funds for various programs of the judiciary, and the departments of the attorney general and public safety relating to alternatives to incarceration.

RELATING TO FAMILY COURT.

Increases the surcharge for parent education for separating parents to $50. Drops the $15 donation.

RELATING TO THE JUDICIARY.

Provides the Judiciary budget for the 2003-2005 biennium.

RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF OFFICIALS IN THE JUDICIAL BRANCH OF STATE GOVERNMENT.

Changes the method of appointment and the method to effectuate salary determinations of the Judicial salary commission. Provides for the salary determinations of the commission to take effect at the beginning of the next fiscal year unless rejected by the Legislature by three-fourths vote of the members of each house of the Legislature.
