A BILL FOR AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE twenty-first SENATORIAL DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $22,930,520, or so much thereof as may be necessary, and the same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated for fiscal year 2004-2005 for the following capital improvements in the twenty-first senatorial district:
1. Nanakuli high and intermediate school
Construction for athletic locker

Relocation of light poles and
accessible path to comfort station

2. Maili elementary school
Bus drive through and drop off area

SECTION 2. The appropriation made for the capital improvement project authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal biennium for which the appropriation is made; provided that all moneys from the appropriation unencumbered as of June 30, 2006, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 3. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1, with the exception of item 11, shall be expended by the department of accounting and general services for the purposes of this Act. The sum appropriated for item 11 in section 1 shall be expended by the department of land and natural resources for the purpose of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2004.
