MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE CONTROL OF INVASIVE SPECIES.

Appropriates $1 million to fight specific types of invasive species that are impacting the agricultural industry.

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR BIOREMEDIATION RESEARCH.

Appropriates funds for bioremediation pilot project on agricultural lands in West Maui.

RELATING TO ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES.

Mandates the use of at least 60% post-consumer content paper that is processed chlorine free by all state departments and agencies.

RELATING TO PEST CONTROL.

Changes the bases for disciplinary action that may be exercised by the pest control board against pest control operators.

RELATING TAXATION OF ALTERNATIVE FUELS.

Suspends the State portion of the fuel tax on alternative fuels for a period of five years to encourage the development and use of alternative fuels.
