HOUSE CONCURRENT

RESOLUTION

 

URGING THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU TO MOVE MORE OF ITS OFFICES TO KAPOLEI.

 

 

WHEREAS, in an effort to relieve the congestion coming into downtown Honolulu; and

WHEREAS, in an effort to better serve the community; and

WHEREAS, in an effort to accommodate the expanding service base of the City and County of Honolulu; and

WHEREAS, the infrastructure to accommodate the transfer is already in place in Kapolei, which has been designated as Oahu's Second City; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-third Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2005, the Senate concurring, that the City and County of Honolulu is urged to move more of its offices and operations to Kapolei; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this Concurrent Resolution be transmitted to the Mayor and the Chairperson of the Council of the City and County of Honolulu.
