RELATING TO GENERAL EXCISE TAX.

Provides a general excise tax exemption for income received from the State as a care home operator, a group child care home operator, or a group child care center operator. (HB146 HD1)

RELATING TO PUBLIC ASSISTANCE.

Requires the Department of Human Services to recognize individuals who have not received a decision on their application for public assistance within the time specified in the administrative rules to be presumptively eligible until an eligibility decision is made. Provides exceptions. (HB244 HD1)

RELATING TO ADULT RESIDENTIAL CARE HOMES.

Requires DHS to provide an additional payment to ARCH providers for recipients of Federal Supplementary Security Income or public assistance. (HB505 HD1)

RELATING TO MISSING CHILD CENTER-HAWAII.

Amends the name of the "Hawaii State Clearinghouse for Missing Children" to "Missing Child Center-Hawaii." (HB582 HD1)

RELATING TO INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNT CONTRIBUTION TAX CREDIT.

Increases the individual development account contribution tax credit from 50% of the amount contributed to 100% of the amount contributed. (HB802 HD1)

RELATING TO CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES.

Requires that the child protective review panel review proceedings taken prior to the issuance of a court order upon the request by the child's family and makes decision available to court in any subsequent proceedings. Adds persons who represent family interests to those who may be appointed to review panel. (HB938 HD1)

RELATING TO MEDICAID.

Requires legislative approval before the department of human services can seek a medicaid waiver from the federal government. Specifies that federally-qualified health centers and rural health clinics shall be eligible for reimbursement in accordance with the Social Security Act. (HB1060 HD2)
