A BILL FOR AN ACT


 

 

RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE twenty-second REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2007-2008.

1.   To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

     A.   Kuhio elementary school, Oahu

Two-classroom building.  The building will be used as two classrooms that can be converted into one large room to accommodate a large group when necessary.  It will be used for classes, lectures, meetings, performances, etc.

Design                                     7,000

              Construction                             700,000

Total funding                       $  709,000

     B.   George Washington middle school, Oahu

Air-condition three C building classrooms         $   18,000

Wheelchair ramps for Fred Wright building    25,000

Elevator for H building                     500,000

Enclose and air-condition Fred Wright Building     800,000

Total Funding                         $1,343,000

     C.   King William C. Lunalilo school, Oahu

Evaluate electrical system for installation of computer technology and upgrade electrical circuitry and panels                     $  900,000

Install security screens for A and C Buildings     50,000

Install water sprinkler system              500,000

Resurface basketball court and purchase new hoops     200,000

Total Funding                         $1,650,000

     SECTION 2.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agencies for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2007.
