     Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred H.B. No. 1352, H.D. 1, entitled:

 

"A BILL FOR AN ACT ESTABLISHING A COMMISSION TO PLAN FOR THE FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF HAWAII STATEHOOD,"

 

begs leave to report as follows:

 

     The purpose of this bill is to begin planning to celebrate Hawaii's admission to statehood by establishing the 50th Anniversary of Statehood Commission to plan and coordinate various activities to celebrate and commemorate this occasion.

 

     The Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism testified in support of this bill.

 

     As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of H.B. No. 1352, H.D. 1, and recommends that it pass Third Reading.
