Your Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection, and Affordable Housing, to which was referred Governor's Message No. 317, submitting for study and consideration the nomination of:
Pest Control Board

Your Committee reviewed the personal history, resume, and statement submitted by the nominee, and finds Michael H. McInerny to have the necessary qualifications to be nominated to the Pest Control Board for a second term.
Testimony in support of Mr. McInerny's nomination was submitted by the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and three private individuals.
Mr. McInerny received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from California State University at Northridge. He currently serves as an Industrial Relations Manager for Hawaiian Electric Company, Inc. Prior to his current position, Mr. McInerny worked for the Hawaii Teamsters Union, Local 996.
Mr. McInerny is being nominated to serve a second term on the Board as a public member where he provides a good perspective from the consumer's point of view. He is a contributing member who understands the purpose of the Board and his role as a public member. Mr. McInerny's demonstrated commitment, motivation, education, and professional experiences will greatly assist the Pest Control Board.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection, and Affordable Housing that is attached to this report, your Committee, after full consideration of the background, experience, and qualifications of the nominee, has found the nominee to be qualified for the position to which nominated and recommends that the Senate advise and consent to the nomination.
