A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the fifty-first representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2009-2010:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Lanikai elementary public charter school, Oahu
Plans, land, construction, and equipment to maximize land usage, add office space, and provide an awning over the student lunch area.
Plans $40,000
Land $65,000
Construction $600,000
Equipment $120,000
Total funding $825,000
B. Blanche Pope elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction for replacement of perimeter fence.
Design $20,000
Construction $130,000
Total funding $150,000
2. To be expended by the city and county of Honolulu:
A. Waikupanaha street, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for the expansion of Waikupanaha street.
Plans $1,000
Design $1,000
Construction $5,498,000
Total funding $5,500,000
3. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:
A. Waimanalo Health Center, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment to install a fire alarm system and a wheelchair lift.
Design $1,000
Construction $23,000
Equipment $1,000
Total funding $25,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2009.
