RELATING TO BURIAL SITES.

Includes additional native Hawaiian organizations for the DLNR to consult with to determine whether a burial site should be preserved in place or relocated and to develop a list of candidates for the burial councils.

RELATING TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING.

Permits the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands(DHHL)to assign or transfer county affordable housing credits.  Requires county approval within 60 days for DHHL to transfer credits.

Status

RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS.

Resolves claims and disputes relating to the portion of income and proceeds from the lands of the public land trust for use by the office of Hawaiian affairs between 11/7/1978, and 7/1/2008; conveys certain parcels of real property in fee simple to the office of Hawaiian affairs.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee the comments are directed to;

·     The date and time of the hearing;

·     Measure number; and

·     The number of copies the Committee is requesting. 

 

While every effort will be made to copy, organize, and collate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed to the incorrect office, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
