A BILL FOR AN ACT


 

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the thirty-fifth representative district.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The thirty-fifth representative district encompasses parts of Pearl City and Waipahu on the island of Oahu.  The purpose of this Act is to  appropriate funds for capital improvement projects for the thirty-fifth representative district.

     SECTION 2.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2009-2010 for planning, design, and construction of capital improvement projects for August Ahrens elementary school, Waipahu.

1.   To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

     A.   Administration building, August Ahrens elementary School, Waipahu

               Design, construction, and equipment for a new administration building.                $10,350,000

     B.   Site development of parking and access road, August Ahrens elementary school, Waipahu

               Plans, design, and construction work for site development of parking and access road entering from Mahoe street to circle around the school grounds and exit onto Waipahu street.   $   965,000

     C.   Site development of cafeteria, August Ahrens elementary school, Waipahu

              Plans, design, and construction of drainage system for cafeteria to prevent flooding.         $   380,000

     SECTION 2.  The sum appropriated for the capital improvement projects set forth in section 2 shall be expended by the designated agency for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2009.
