A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the twenty-first representative district.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2010-2011.

      1.  To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

           A. Thomas Jefferson elementary school, Oahu.

              Re-roof H building

              Construction                            $100,000

                   Total funding                      $100,000

           B. Thomas Jefferson elementary school, Oahu.

              Resurfacing of parking lot in front of school along Kapahulu avenue

              Construction                            $100,000

                   Total funding                      $100,000

           C. Kapahulu senior center, Oahu.

              Main building roof repair

              Construction                            $125,000

                   Total funding                      $125,000

           D. Kaimuki high school, Oahu.

              Electrical upgrade, campus wide

              Design                                  $300,000

               Construction                          $1,200,000

                   Total funding                    $1,500,000

           E. Kaimuki high school, Oahu.

              Gender equity sports restroom athletic field softball

              Construction                            $350,000

                   Total funding                      $350,000

           F. Kaimuki high school, Oahu.

              Softball field refurbishment

                   Total funding                      $250,000

           G. Waikiki community center, Oahu.

              Roof repair A & E buildings

              Construction                            $100,000

                   Total funding                      $100,000

           H. Waikiki community center, Oahu.

              Replace gutters A & E buildings

              Construction                             $30,000

                   Total funding                       $30,000

           I. Waikiki community center, Oahu.

              Paint all buildings

                   Total funding                       $70,000

           J. Ala Wai elementary school, Oahu.

              Upgrade campus wide electrical capacity

              Phase 1:  Replace transformer vault

              Phase 2:  Replace feeder lines and panels in each building

              Plans                                    $10,000

              Design                                   $40,000

              Construction                            $700,000

                   Total funding                      $750,000

           K. Liholiho elementary school, Oahu.

              Electrical upgrades, campus wide

                   Total funding                      $500,000

      2.  To be expended by the University of Hawaii:

           A. Kapiolani community college, Oahu.

              Chapel repairs and maintenance, refurbishment work, new paint, and roof and interior repairs

              Construction                            $575,000

                   Total funding                      $575,000

     SECTION 2.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2010.
