Amends the definition of "practice of pharmacy" by changing the age of persons to whom immunizations are administered from 18 to nine years of age with parental consent.

Clarifies the definitions of "remote dispensing machine" and "remote dispensing pharmacy".

RELATING TO TIME FRAMES TO REGAIN FITNESS TO PROCEED.

Establishes specific time frames for a commitment or release on conditions when unfit defendants are charged with petty misdemeanors (60 days), and non-violent misdemeanors (120 days).

RELATING TO CONFIDENTIALITY OF FORENSIC MENTAL HEALTH EXAMINATION REPORTS.

Requires courts to maintain mental health examination reports as confidential documents, subject to certain specific exceptions for limited distribution of the reports.

RELATING TO BOTTLED WATER.

Requires all bottled water to be labeled with the date of bottling.

RELATING TO ANATOMICAL GIFTS.

Prevents persons with HIV or AIDS from being automatically excluded from organ transplants due to their diagnosis; requires that any procurement organization in the State to maintain donor lists including high risk donors and persons with HIV or AIDS.

RELATING TO MEDICAL GIFTS.

Bans drug or device manufacturers or any wholesale distributor of medical devices from offering gifts to health care providers, unless excepted.  Requires disclosure of permissible gifts to the director of commerce and consumer affairs.  Makes disclosures publicly available.

·         In person:  1 copy of their testimony to the committee clerk, Room 215, State Capitol.

 

·         By fax:  Testimony may be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please indicate to which committee the testimony is being submitted and the date and time of the hearing.

 

Please note:  If you submit your written testimony after 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the hearing, please sign-in at the staff table to testify orally.  A copy of your testimony may not be available during the hearing but will be posted online for the public after the hearing.
