A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to historic preservation.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 6E, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§6E- State law enforcement memorial. A state law enforcement memorial shall be constructed in the capitol district preferably on the diamond head side of the Kalanimoku building; provided that private funds shall be solicited and used for the construction of the memorial."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2011.
