Status

RELATING TO HIGHER EDUCATION.

Establishes a 5-year pilot project at the pharmacy school of UH-Hilo that ensures the financial self-sufficiency of the school.  Establishes a special fund for the pharmacy school.  Appropriates moneys from the special fund.

Status

RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

Consolidates various UH reports to the legislature into one report.  Requires UH to report annual financial statements and non-general fund revenues and expenditures.

RELATING TO HIGHER EDUCATION.

Establishes the campus facility board to address UH repairs and maintenance.  Establishes a commission to oversee expenditure of the repair and maintenance appropriations made to UH for fiscal year 2014-2015.

Removes program execution exceptions provisions that are specific to the University of Hawaii.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  Testimony should indicate:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;

·     The date and time of the hearing; and

·     Measure number. 

 

While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

PAPER:  2 copies (including an original) to Room 327 in the State Capitol;

WEB:      For testimony less than 10MB in size, transmit from http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/submittestimony.aspx.

 

IF SUBMITTING WRITTEN TESTIMONY AT THE HEARING:  please bring 15 copies for committee members.

 

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
