RELATING TO NATIVE HAWAIIANS.

Establishes a working group within the Office of Hawaiian Affairs to investigate the feasibility of requiring companies producing geothermal energy in Hawaii to pay royalties to Native Hawaiians.

RELATING TO HAWAIIAN KONOHIKI MANAGEMENT.

Authorizes the Aha Moku Advisory Committee to provide advice on establishing and applying traditional konohiki management practices to restore fishery food stocks and environmental well-being, in consultation with fishery communities.

RELATING TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING ON HAWAIIAN HOME LANDS.

Makes permanent provisions for affordable housing credits on Hawaiian home lands.

RELATING TO HAWAIIAN LANGUAGE IMMERSION.

Establishes a task force within the Department of Education to locate potential, viable properties along the Waianae coast, with a preference for a location in Nanakuli, on which to establish a Hawaiian language immersion school to educate students from kindergarten through grade twelve.

RELATING TO MEMORIALS.

Establishes the Coastal Memorials Task Force to review, evaluate, develop standards, and make recommendations regarding the practice of erecting coastal memorials.

RELATING TO OCEAN RESOURCES.

Directs the Department of Land and Natural Resources to conduct a study of Pohoiki Bay in order to resolve the conflicts between commercial boat tours and fishers that use the bay.
