A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of THE twenty-fifth SENATORIAL DISTRICT.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $5,610,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary, and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2015-2016 for the purpose of capital improvement projects for the twenty-fifth senatorial district, as follows:

1.   Department of education

     A.   Kalaheo high school - rewire fire alarm.

          Total funding                                $240,000

2.   Department of land and natural resources

     A.   Public restroom maintenance and asset management system.

          Total funding                              $5,000,000

3.   Department of agriculture

     A.   Implementation and operation of the Hawaii One program to provide conservation plans online.

          Total funding                                 $70,000

4.   Department of transportation

     A.   Kalanianaole highway, Oahu

          Plans, design, and construction to upgrade crosswalk.

          Plans                           $1,000

          Design                          $1,000

          Construction                  $298,000

          Total funding                                $300,000

     SECTION 2.  The appropriations made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriations are made; provided that all moneys from the appropriations that are unencumbered as of June 30, 2018, shall lapse as of that date.

     SECTION 3.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital improvement projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2015.
