Status

RELATING TO PILOTAGE.

Regulates the liability of port pilots.  Exempts vessels under 300 gross tons from pilotage regulation.  Requires the director of commerce and consumer affairs to develop appropriate standards for port pilot license renewal.  Requires pilot license renewal to be pursuant to section 436B-13, HRS.  Effective 07/01/2050.  (SD2)

RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION.

Authorizes the county directors of finance to enter into contracts with car dealerships and rental car companies for the registration of used motor vehicles.  Effective 07/01/2050.  (SD1)

RELATING TO DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE.

Amends the offense of habitually operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant to include operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant after at least one conviction within the previous ten years for habitually operating a motor vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant.  (SD1)

Status

RELATING TO USE OF INTOXICANTS WHILE OPERATING A VEHICLE.

Allows an ignition interlock permit holder to take necessary tests to apply for relicensing during the final 30 days of the revocation period.  Prohibits operating a vehicle with an ignition interlock permit without a state identification card.  Prohibits operating a vehicle once a notice of administrative revocation that serves as a temporary permit has expired unless the driver has a valid driver's license.  Effective 01/07/2059.  (SD1)

RELATING TO BICYCLE SIGNALS.

Clarifies bicycle turn and stop signals.

Status

RELATING TO CYCLE TRACKS.

Authorizes the use of the state highway fund for the establishment of cycle tracks.  Defines the term "cycle track" and clarifies the permitted uses of a cycle track.  Authorizes pedestrians, non-motorized vehicles, and mopeds to use bicycle lanes, cycle tracks, and bicycle paths if adopted by rule or ordinance.  (SD1)
