                     A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE
   THIRTY-EIGHTH AND THIRTY-NINTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICTS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 1      SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall
 
 2 be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are
 
 3 hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of
 
 4 Hawaii for fiscal year 1999-2000.
 
 5      1.  To be expended by the department of transportation:
 
 6           Kamehameha highway sidewalk, Oahu
 
 7           Construction for a sidewalk and paved shoulders for
 
 8           bicycle accessibility along Kamehameha highway in the
 
 9           vicinity of Meheula Parkway to the vicinity of
 
10           Kuahelani avenue.
 
11           Construction                                  $530,000
 
12           Total funding                                  530,000
 
13      2.  To be expended by the department of accounting and
 
14      general services:
 
15      A.   Mililani Mauka II elementary School, Oahu
 
16           Plans and design for first increment of Mililani Mauka
 
17           II elementary school.  Design to include classrooms,
 
18           library, administration, cafeteria, playcourt,
 
19           playfield, parking, ground and site improvements,
 
20           equipment, and appurtenances.

11      SECTION 2.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital
 
12 projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the
 
13 designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
 
14      SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 1999.
