HB 1267    RELATING TO FORECLOSURES                       CPC/JHA
        Makes general housekeeping amendments to the alternate
        power of sale  foreclosure process, including deleting
        the requirement  of  an  open  house,  clarifying that
        public notices  be  mailed  and  delivered rather than
        sent, and deleting  the public information requirement
        for lenders using the new process.

HB 1344    RELATING TO ATTORNEYS' FEES                    CPC/JHA
        Permits an arbitrator  to  award reasonable attorneys'
        fees, not to  exceed  25%  of  damages, in condominium
        arbitration cases.

 
HB 1622    RELATING TO INTOXICATING LIQUOR                CPC/JHA
        Prohibits a holder  of  a  manufacturer's or wholesale
        dealer's license to have  any  interest in the license
        or licensed premises of a retail licensee.

HB 1232    RELATING TO PRIVACY                            CPC/JHA
        Establishes the  Hawaii  Information  Privacy  Act, an
        omnibus privacy protection  act  to provide safeguards
        against the unwarranted  private commercial collection
        and  dissemination   of   personal  information  about
        individuals.

HB 328     RELATING TO SUBSTANCE ABUSE                   HLT, CPC
HD 1       Repeals requirement  that  physicians  be certified to
        treat alcohol and  drug  abuse  for purposes of mental
        health insurance benefits  for  treatment  of drug and
        alcohol abuse.

HB 830     RELATING TO SECURITIES                        EDB, CPC
        Authorizes small  companies  to  raise capital through
        small  corporate  offerings   registration  (SCOR),  a
        uniform   registration   system   that   allows  small
        companies to obtain equity financing by selling common
        stock directly to the public

HB 647     RELATING TO CONDOMINIUM PROPERTY REGIMES           CPC
        Authorizes  the  association  of  apartment  owners to
        withhold  common  privileges  to  owner-occupied units
        that are delinquent  in  paying  their share of common
        expenses.

HB 648     RELATING TO CONDOMINIUM MAINTENANCE FEES           CPC
        Allows condominium associations  to collect delinquent
        maintenance fees from the tenant  of an owner.  Allows
        tenant to deduct amount  from payment made to landlord
        apartment owner.   Makes  this  requirement prevail in
        event of conflict with Landlord-Tenant Code.

HB 766     RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS                           CPC
        Sets  dates  by  which  person  acquiring condominiums
        apartments after foreclosure will be liable for common
        expenses.

HB 658     RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS                           CPC
        Requires that a time share plan subject to condominium
        and time  share  registration  requirements conform to
        both unless contradictory.   Specifies that time share
        requirement concerning  disclosure  statements prevail
        in event of conflict.
