HB1063 HD1 RELATING TO THE CODE OF FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS   CPN
        Makes corrections to certain sections of the Code of
        Financial Institutions which were inadvertently not
        changed with the adoption of prior amendments to the
        Code. 
        (SAY B/R)  (Companion Bill:  SB1125)

HB1072 HD1 RELATING TO REVERSE MORTGAGES                   CPN
        Guidelines, prior to acceptance of a reverse mortgage
        loan aplication, if loan is not otherwise subject to
        counseling reqruiements under other state or federal
        laws.  Violation is deemed unfair method of
        competition or unfair or deceptive act or practice.

HB411 HD1  RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES                      CPN
        Allows a consumer to cancel a contract to purchase or
        lease a new vehicle within three calendar days after
        execution of the contract.

HB936 HD2  RELATING TO COMMERCIAL PAPER               CPN, JDC
        Provides that persons bringing an action to recover
        damages resulting from the dishonor of a check or
        other negotiable instrument may assess and collect a
        $20 service charge and attorney's fees, in addition to
        the amount of the dishonored check, incurred court and
        service costs. (HD2)

HB1411 HD1 RELATING TO ACUPUNCTURE PRACTITIONERS           CPN
        Allows acupuncture practitioners to sit for the
        licensing examination if they have graduated from a
        school that is in the process of applying for
        candidacy for accreditation. (HD1) (LUKE B/R)

Persons wishing to testify should submit 30 copies of their
testimony to the committee clerk, Room 202, State Capitol, 24
hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less
than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at
586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at
least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please
indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and
time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for
submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.

Public Folder.  A folder labeled "Public Folder" containing the
measures and testimonies for the hearing will be available for
shared use by members of the public.
