S.B. 993   RELATING TO THE DISABLED                  HHS/LRE, WAM
        Prohibits discrimination in public accomodation,
        housing, and employment for persons with a disability
        who use guide or signal dogs, or service animals;
        exempts these animals from licensing fees; requires
        vehicle operators to give way to disabled in
        crosswalks.

S.B. 995   RELATING TO ELDERLY AND DEPENDENT ADULTS  HHS/LRE, WAM
        Allows dependent adults or their guardians to obtain
        information on a person's criminal record or confirmed
        cases of abuse; requires police and adult protective
        service workers to report to each other on abuse
        complaints.

S.B. 1496  RELATING TO SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS HHS/LRE, WAM
        FOR MEDICAL WASTE FACILITY PROJECT 
        DEVELOPMENT
        Authorizes issuance of special purpose revenue bonds
        to Pacific Controls, Inc., for plasma waste conversion
        for disposal of medical waste.

S.B. 798   RELATING TO NOISE                         LRE/HHS, WAM
        Clarifies jurisdiction regarding noise control.

S.B. 738   RELATING TO NOISE POLLUTION                   LRE, HHS
        Shortens the allowable period for the permit review
        process for noise pollution permits to 30 days.

S.B. 737   RELATING TO NOISE                             LRE, HHS
        Exempts small construction projects from the permit
        requirments of the noise pollution law.

S.B. 979   RELATING TO NOISE                             LRE, ECD
        Sets the sound levels permissible on agricultural
        parcels of five acres or less at the same level set
        for lands categorized as class B under department of
        health noise rules.

S.B. 72    RELATING TO TAX CREDITS FOR WATER             LRE, WAM
        CONSERVATION
        Creates a water conservation tax credit for investment
        in water conservation facilities or devices.

S.B. 696   RELATING TO INDIVIDUAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT   LRE, WAM
        SYSTEM INCOME TAX CREDIT
        Provides an income tax credit of $450 on the purchase
        and installation of an individual wastewater treatment
        system.

S.B. 1024  RELATING TO THE ENVIRONMENT                   LRE, JDC
        Proposes the regulation of private cesspool,
        wastewater, and sludge pumping and hauling operations
        by the director of health, instead of the state board
        of certification.

S.B. 207   RELATING TO WASTEWATER                        LRE, WAM

 
 
        Creates a special fund for the board of certification
        to certify individuals to operate wastewater treatment
        plants.

S.B. 1429  RELATING TO WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES   LRE, CPN
        Excludes from definition of public utility any
        facility that reclaims wastewater provided that at
        least 10 percent of the wastewater processed is used
        by a state of county agency.

S.B. 30    RELATING TO ENDANGERED SPECIES                LRE, WAM
        Requires the department of land and natural resources
        to conduct and endangered species art contest for the
        production of an annual state endangered species
        stamp.

S.B. 1023  RELATING TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION          LRE, WAM
        Allows the Department of Health to hire a professional
        ecologist or biologist capable of performing
        ecological risk assessments and natural resource
        damage assessments.

S.B. 563   RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL       LRE, WLH
        QUALITY CONTROL
        Amends various sections of the land use, coastal zone
        mangagement, and environmental laws to require notice
        of various agencies' consideration of permit
        applications which may affect the environment,
        economy, culture, or social welfare of the State, in
        the OEQC's periodic bulletin.

S.B. 789   RELATING TO THE ENVIRONMENT                   LRE, WAM
        Amends the environmental impact statement law to
        provide for reasonable time extensions beyond the
        current 30-day limit for an agency to make a
        determination of acceptance or nonacceptance of a
        final environmental impact statement.

S.B. 561   RELATING TO ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENTS   LRE, JDC
        Allows any person to sue another person or government
        agency for actions resulting from the lack or
        inadequacy of an environmental impact statement.

        DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW, IF TIME PERMITS.

indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and
time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for
submittal.

interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for

hours prior to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
