Dr. Zawadski has been involved with a broad range of service providers in the development and ongoing management of innovative elderly service programs that address the policy concerns of State and Federal agencies. Areas of development have included information systems for adult day health care, software solutions for long-term care providers, a website for long-term care consumers (i.e. GetCare.com) and public long-term care financing at the county level.

Dr. Zawadski will report on the California Long-term Care Integration Project, a statewide initiative to pool all public funding for long-term care at the county level. Presently, 6 counties are underway in implementing this effort. In addition, Dr. Zawadski will compare that initiative to PACE and the Social HMO approaches to long-term care financing.
