BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The legislature finds that existing law

affect health and safety laws or insurance laws.

SECTION 2. Chapter 481, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended

by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to

read as follows:

"481- Prohibition of discriminatory pricing due to

gender. (a) No person, partnership, firm, corporation, or other

entity engaged in business within the State shall discriminate,

with respect to the price charged for services that are the same

or similar in nature, against any person because of the person's

gender.

     (b) This section shall not prevent price differences based

on the amount of time, difficulty, or cost of providing the

services. This section shall not alter or affect laws related to

health and safety or insurance."
