                   A  BILL  FOR  AN  ACT

RELATING TO SCHOOL-TO-WORK.
 


BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 1      SECTION 1.  Section 302A-431.6, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is
 
 2 amended to read as follows:
 
 3      "[[]�302A-431.6[]]  Powers and duties.  The school-to-work
 
 4 transition program shall provide for the continued delivery of
 
 5 integrated services directed at assisting high school students
 
 6 toward successfully completing their transition from school to
 
 7 work, or to further their training and education[.]; provided
 
 8 that all participating high school students shall receive
 
 9 standardized worker readiness training, which shall be approved
 
10 by the department of labor and industrial relations in compliance
 
11 with the requirements of the Hawaii occupational safety and
 
12 health division."
 
13      SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed.
 
14 New statutory material is underscored.
 
15      SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
