        DECISION MAKING ON THE FOLLOWING MEASURES
            (Deferred from February 9, 2000)

SB 3007    RELATING TO AGRICULTURE                      ECD, WAM
           Establishes  a  voluntary  porcine  respiratory and
           reproductive syndrome (PRRS) certification program,
           including    developing    voluntary    PRRS   herd
           certification standards.   Also appropriates funds.

SB 2745    RELATING TO AQUACULTURE                      ECD, WAM
           Allows the department of agriculture to charge fees
           for  aquatic  animal  and  plant  health diagnostic
           services  and  for  any  items  or  expert services
           purchased   from   the    department   related   to
           aquaculture planning,  disease  management, and the
           marketing of  seafood  products.    Establishes the
           Aquaculture  Development   Special   fund   in  the
           department of  agriculture,  defines  moneys  to be
           deposited into the  fund,  and  defines uses of the
           moneys deposited into the fund.  (MIZUGUCHI B/R)

SB 3199    RELATING TO PLANT AND NON-DOMESTIC ANIMAL    ECD, WAM
           QUARANTINE
           Provides for the  regulation  of microbial products
           and unlisted  microorganisms  by  the Department of
           Agriculture under the plant and non-domestic animal
           quarantine law.  (INOUYE)

SB 2226    RELATING TO ANIMAL QUARANTINE                ECD, WAM
           Adds a new  part  to  implement modified quarantine
           replacements for  all  service  animals  used by an
           individual    with    disabilities;    appropriates
           unspecified funds to  the  DOA  for the purposes of
           this Act.  (TAM)

SB 2099    RELATING TO PLANT AND NON-DOMESTIC           ECD, WAM
           ANIMAL QUARANTINE
           Requires  a  permit   for   the  importation  of  a
           conditionally approved animal into  the State to be
           granted by the  DOA  not  more  than 3 working days
           after the DOA  receives  a complete application for
           the permit, including  any  fees.    Adds 34 insect
           species to the DOA's list of conditionally approved
           animals.  (SLOM)
