        DECISION MAKING ON THE FOLLOWING MEASURES
            (Deferred from February 9, 2000)


S.B. 2412   Relating to the Auditor                           WAM
           Establishes  a   managerial   accountability  audit
           program in the office of the auditor.  (Mizuguchi)

S.B. 3045   Relating to the Auditor                           WAM
           Authorizes  the  auditor  to  refuse  disclosure of
           documents collected and developed  in the course of
           the auditor's investigations under a working papers
           privilege.  (Mizuguchi)

S.B. 2106   Relating to Federal Funding                       WAM
           Prohibits the governor and  the director of finance
           from  restricting  any  state  agency's  ability to
           spend federal grant  moneys  if already approved by
           the granting federal agency. (Tam)

S.B. 2785   Relating to Unclaimed Property                    WAM
           Establishes  the  unclaimed  property  trust  fund,
           which shall  be  administered  by  the  director of
           finance, to  pay  claims  for  return  of abandoned
           property to  their  rightful  owners  and  to other
           states'  unclaimed  property  programs  for  owners
           whose last known address  was  in that other state.

S.B. 2088   Relating to Short-Term Investments of State Moneys WAM
           Authorizes  the  director  of  finance  to  use any
           moneys of the State  as  a short term investment to
           Federal Farm Credit System notes and bonds, student
           loan marketing  association  notes  and  bonds, and
           Tennessee  Valley  Authority  notes  and  bonds for
           meeting the immediate requirements of the State and
           where the director's judgement  the action will not
           impede or hamper the necessary financial operations
           of the State. (Fukunaga/Levin)


 


 
S.B. 2728   Proposing a Constitutional Amendment relating WAM, JDC
           to Public Access to Government
           Prohibits any person  to  be  denied  access to any
           meeting held by a  public  body  for the purpose of
           deliberating or  deciding  on  a  matter  of public
           interest, or be denied the right to inspect or copy
           any public record  made  or  received in connection
           with  official  business  of  the  public  body  or
           person, except  to  protect  rights  of individuals
           guaranteed under the constitution. (Ihara)

H.B. 286   Relating to Speeding                         TIA, WAM
HD2, SD1   Established fines for  motorists  who are convicted
           of driving their  motor  vehicles at speeds greater
           than the  maximum  speed  limit  in  school zone or
           construction areas. (Takai)
