Written Testimony only will be accepted for the following four
bills:

SB 2430    RELATING TO CIVIL RIGHTS                           JDC
        Adds sexual orientation as a protected status for laws
        prohibiting discrimination in housing; adds familial
        status as a protected status in anti-blockbusting law. 

SB 3195    RELATING TO GARNISHMENT                            JDC
        Amends definition of "wages" under the garnishment law
        to include rental income.

PENDING RE-REFERRAL TO JDC ONLY:

SB 13      RELATING TO PROCESS SERVERS                   JDC, WAM
        Allows fees and mileage for process servers to be
        included in court costs.

SB 2438    RELATING TO JUDGMENTS                         JDC, WAM
        Clarifies that the post-judgement interest rate shall
        be ten percent per year on the total judgment amount.


                 DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW


Persons wishing to submit written testimony only should submit 25
copies (1 sided) of their testimony to the committee clerk, Room
227, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may

 
also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate

the neighbor islands) to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 1-
800-586-6659, at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When
faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted,
the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of
copies needed for submittal.

Public Folder.  A folder labeled "Public Folder" containing the
measures and testimonies for the hearing will be available for
shared use by members of the public.
