HD2        Creates a new felony for sale or manufacturer of

HB 1457    RELATING TO THE TRAFFIC CODE                  TIA, JDC
(SB 890)   Makes spilling load violations an offense.

HB 2020    RELATING TO OBSOLETE LAWS                          JDC
(SB 2121   Repeals or makes conforming amendments to various
SD1)       statutes that have either been repealed by
        implication, or by their own terms by operation of
        law, and are now deemed to be "functus", that is, have
        accomplished their intended purpose and are of no
        further force or effect.

HB 2021    RELATING TO ACT 316, SESSION LAWS OF HAWAII 1993,  JDC
(SB 2120   AS AMENDED BY ACT 157, SESSION LAWS OF HAWAII 1995;
SD1)       AND TO ACT 278, SESSION LAWS OF HAWAII 1999
        Adds reenactment language to laws that were amended,
        and will be inadvertently repealed, by laws
        establishing the expedited sentencing program and
        amending the crime victim compensation special fund.

HB 2809    RELATING TO THE PENAL CODE                         JDC
HD1        Increases the penalty for desecration to a class C
        felony.

24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please indicate to
whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the
hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
