SB 2384   RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS       WLH, WAM
       Provides for full-time trustees for the office of Hawaiian
       affairs; prohibits outside employment; bases compensation on
       recommendations of the salary commission.

SB 2477   RELATING TO THE TRUSTEES OF THE OFFICE OF        WLH, JDC
       HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS
       Proposes an amendment to Article XII, Section 5, of the
       Hawaii Constitution to allow for the recall of trustees of
       the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.

SB 2478   RELATING TO THE ELECTION OF THE OFFICE OF        WLH, JDC
       HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS' BOARD OF TRUSTEES
       Requires OHA Trustees to be nominated in the primary
       election and elected in the general election.

SB 2479   RELATING TO THE ELECTION OF THE BOARD OF         WLH, JDC
       TRUSTEES OF THE OFFICE OF HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS
       Amends OHA Trustee candidate voting procedures by allowing
       qualified Hawaiian voters to vote for trustee representation
       by island.

SB 2684   RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS       WLH, WAM
       BUDGET
       Appropriates funds for office of Hawaiian affairs
       supplemental budget.

SB 2842   RELATING TO THE HAWAIIAN HOMES COMMISSION ACT,   WLH, WAM

 
       1920, AS AMENDED

       Allows DHHL to adjust the interest rate on loans made from
       the Hawaiian Home Lands Fund.

SB 2843   RELATING TO THE HAWAIIAN HOMES COMMISSION ACT,   WLH, WAM
       1920, AS AMENDED
       Clarifies that DHHL is authorized to lease out improvements
       located on Hawaiian Home Lands.  Provide DHHL greater
       flexibility in disposing of Hawaiian Home Lands to a native
       hawaiian or an organization or association controlled by
       native hawaiians.

of their testimony to the committee clerk, Room 218, State Capitol, 24
hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5
pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or
1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours
prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please indicate to whom the
testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and
the required number of copies needed for submittal.

participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the
disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the
hearing so arrangements can be made.

Public Folder.  A folder labeled "Public Folder" containing the
measures and testimonies for the hearing will be available for shared
use by members of the public.
