Your Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection and Housing, to which was referred Governor's Message No. 257, submitting for study and consideration the nomination of:
BOARD OF MASSAGE THERAPY
LLOYD K. SODETANI, for a term to expire June 30, 2005,
begs leave to report as follows:
Lloyd K. Sodetani is a real estate professional with extensive experience in real estate brokering and consulting. He has served with distinction in the military reserve retiring as a Colonel in 1999 and devotes a substantial amount of this time to community service involving a wide range of issues from civil defense to economic development. Mr. Sodetani has specific experience with laws pertaining to regulated industries serving as a condominium consultant to the Real Estate Commission and as a real estate expert witness for the Regulated Industries Complaints Office.
Upon consideration of the credentials of Mr. Sodetani, your Committee finds that he would be a productive and effective member of the Board of Massage providing a new and valuable perspective.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection and Housing that is attached to this report, your Committee, after full consideration of the background, character, experience, and qualifications of the nominee, has found the nominee to be qualified for the position to which nominated and recommends that the Senate advise and consent to the nomination.
