Pursuant to Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 150, S.D.1, H.D.1, the Senate Investigative Committee will explore options to develop, with the assistance of the pharmaceutical industry, a prescription drug access program that ensures Hawaii's residents, especially the elderly, access to medically necessary prescription drugs. This organizational meeting will discuss but not be limited to the following items:
1. Background and overview of committee mandate
2. Information previously submitted by committee members on their
department's or industry's perspective to this issue
3. Direction of committee
4. Timeframe
5. Legislation to be introduced
THE COMMITTEE DOES NOT EXPECT PUBLIC TESTIMONY.
