A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

Making an appropriation to the department of education for registrar positions and necessary consultant services and goods.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $1 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2001-2002 and the sum of $1 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2002-2003 for:

(1) Four permanent part-time public registrar positions to be converted to four permanent full-time public registrar positions at:

(A) Waimanalo elementary school;

(B) Hana high and elementary school;

(C) Lanai high and elementary school; and

(D) Konawaena middle school;

(2) Six additional permanent public registrar positions to be assigned to:

(A) Olomana school;

(B) Laupahoehoe high school;

(C) Anuenue School

(D) Kauai community school for adults;

(E) Maui community school for adults; and

(F) Kona community school for adults;

and

(3) The procurement of necessary consultant services and goods.

The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of education for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2001.
