A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the third representative district.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2001-2002:

1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:

A. Keaukaha school, Hawaii

Design, construction, and equipment for a cafeteria with a prep kitchen.

Equipment $75,000

Total funding $2,535,000

B. Keaukaha school, Hawaii

Design, construction, and equipment for an administration/library building.

Design $175,000

C. Keaau middle school, Oahu

Design, construction, and equipment for a new music building; and ground and site improvements.

Design $200,000

D. Waiakea elementary school, Hawaii

Design, construction, and equipment for an administration/library building(s).

3. To be expended by the county of Hawaii:

A. Kawailani street, Hawaii

Plans and design to replace the Kawailani street bridge. Funds are to be matched by the county at twenty percent.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of the Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2001.
